General Questions
Q: Are you a registered cattery? A: Yes – we are fully registered with TICA and CFA. Every kitten leaves with TICA papers and a 5-generation pedigree.
Q: Where are you located and can we visit? A: We are a private home cattery in [Your State], USA. Visits are by appointment only after application approval (we protect our cats and young children).
Q: How much do your Maine Coon kittens cost in 2025? A: Prices range from $600–$3500 depending on color, pattern, polydactyl status, and bloodlines. Rare colors (smokes, silvers, torties) and heavy polydactyls are at the higher end.
Q: Do you require spay/neuter? A: Yes – all pet kittens are already spayed or neutered before leaving (included in price). Breeding rights are rarely offered and only to established, registered catteries.
Q: How soon can I get a kitten? A: We currently have kittens ready NOW (born Aug/Sept) and another litter going home mid-December 2025. We never make families wait 6–12 months like many catteries.
Health & Testing
Q: What health testing do you do? A: Every breeding cat has:
- Annual echocardiogram by board-certified cardiologist
- Full DNA panel (HCM A31P & MyBPC3, SMA, PK-Def, PKD)
- FeLV/FIV negative All results are posted publicly and sent with your kitten.
Q: What is your health guarantee? A: 3-Year congenital/genetic replacement guarantee (see full details here). Plus 72-hour initial exam and 14-day viral coverage.
Q: Are parents FeLV/FIV negative and vaccinated? A: Yes – tested annually and kept strictly indoors.
Shipping & Pickup
Q: Do you ship kittens? A: Yes! We ship nationwide via in-cabin flight nanny (never cargo). Cost $475–$650 depending on airport. Kitten flies on the nanny’s lap and is hand-delivered to you at arrivals.
Q: Can we pick up in person? A: Absolutely – we love in-person pickups! You’ll meet the parents and see exactly how the kittens are raised.
Q: What airports do you fly out of most often? A: Major hubs within driving distance (typically Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Cincinnati, etc.). We’ll find the best route to your closest major airport.
Q: How old are kittens when they leave? A: 12–16 weeks and only after they are fully vaccinated, altered, and vet-cleared for travel.
Deposits & Payment
Q: How much is the deposit and is it refundable? A: $300 non-refundable deposit holds your kitten (applied to total price). It’s non-refundable because we turn away other families once reserved, but it’s transferable to a future kitten forever.
Q: What payment methods do you accept? A: Chime, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal (Friends & Family), CashApp, credit card (+3 %), or cash on pickup.
After You Bring Your Kitten Home
Q: What food do you feed? A: Raw (Tiki Cat & Stella & Chewy’s) + Nulo Freestyle or Dr. Elsey’s kibble + filtered water. We send home a full transition guide.
Q: Are your kittens litter-trained? A: Yes – 100 %. They’ve been using large boxes with pine pellets and Yesterday’s News since 3 weeks old.
Q: Will my kitten get along with dogs/kids/other cats? A: Our kittens are raised with calm dogs, respectful children, and other cats — they adapt extremely well.
Q: Do you offer lifetime support? A: Yes! Text us at 3 AM with questions — we answer. We’re here for grooming tips, diet advice, or just to see new photos.
